Mission Statement and Ethos
Our school aims:
to fulfil the spiritual, emotional, physical and intellectual needs of the children
to provide a foundation for the children to thrive and flourish as life-long learners
to provide exciting opportunities to enable all children to reach their full potential, who have a sense of personal and civic responsibility, and who are self-aware, capable and resilient.
Rathfarnham Parish N.S. is a child-centred, nurturing community where everyone is equally valued, respected and supported in a happy, holistic and inclusive environment.
Children are encouraged to be creative, competent and resourceful. The school develops the children's capacity and motivation for active and meaningful participation in society, and fosters their ability to contribute positively and compassionately towards the creation of a more sustainable and just world.
This is a school with a Church of Ireland ethos where children experience a sense of caring and belonging and Christian values of respect, honesty, kindness, responsibility and tolerance are fostered. Drawing on its Anglican tradition, home/family involvement is encouraged and the school has close links with Rathfarnham Parish and the wider community. Families of all faiths and none are welcomed in this inclusive school.
